Transilience supports transgender and gender questioning young people in North Devon, along with their parents, families and the professionals who work with them. It offers training and consultancy for professionals, and support and education for young people and their loved ones, aiming to improve understanding of LGBTQIA+ identity in the area. By giving partner colleagues the right training and offering timely support, the organisation works to reduce the number of young people facing mental health crisis, homelessness, drug and alcohol dependency, and family breakdown linked to miscommunication and a lack of acceptance. Through education and communication support, it aims to strengthen relationships between young people and their support networks, helping rebuild connections weakened by misunderstanding.
