What this directory is for

directory.lgbt is a free, independent signposting tool: it helps you find LGBTQIA+ groups, services and spaces across the UK. Being listed here does not mean we've vetted, endorsed, or guarantee the quality, safety or suitability of an organisation — it means we believe, based on public information, that the organisation genuinely serves LGBTQIA+ people. Always make your own check before contacting or relying on a listed organisation, especially for anything sensitive or urgent.

Accuracy and how current our information is

We try hard to keep listings accurate and up to date, and every listing shows when it was last checked. But organisations change — they move, close, or update their services — faster than any directory can track. A "last checked" date tells you when we last confirmed a listing, not that nothing has changed since. Please confirm important details (opening times, eligibility, current contact details) directly with the organisation before relying on them, particularly if you need help urgently — see our Need help now page for direct crisis and emergency contacts.

Using this site

You're welcome to browse, search and share links to this directory. Please don't use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download the whole directory outside of our public API, don't submit false, abusive or misleading reports or suggested edits, and don't use anything you find here to harass, discriminate against, or otherwise cause harm to any person or organisation.

Content and ownership

The design, text, code and database structure of this site belong to directory.lgbt. Listed organisations own their own names, logos and any material they've supplied to us, and we display it under a limited licence for the purpose of running this directory. If you submit a report or a suggested correction, you're giving us permission to use, edit and publish that content as part of running the directory.

Liability

This directory is provided as a free public service, on an "as is" basis, without any warranty that it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, from reliance on a listing, or from the actions of a listed organisation — but nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude.

Requesting a correction or removal

If you run a listed organisation and something is wrong, out of date, or you'd like your listing removed, use the "Suggest an edit" link on your listing or email [email protected] — we review every request and aim to act on genuine correction or removal requests quickly. We may also edit listing text lightly for length, clarity or consistency.

If you have a safety concern about a listing

If you believe a listed organisation shouldn't be here — for example, because it offers or promotes conversion therapy, or is unsafe — use the report link on its listing and tell us why. See our editorial exclusion policy for the standard we use to decide what we list.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the directory grows — for example, as we add new features like the public API or events. We'll post the current version here; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without prejudice to any additional statutory rights you have under Scottish or Northern Irish law if you're based there.
