About

Fighting With Pride supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender former armed forces members and their dependants across the UK, working to relieve need, hardship or distress. It backs rehabilitation and retraining schemes and helps people find employment if they lost their jobs because of their sexuality before 2000. The organisation also seeks the return of medals removed in these circumstances and works to address damaged pension rights, including lost payments and other benefits, for those affected before 2000. Beyond this, it promotes equality, diversity and inclusivity for both serving and former armed forces members, aiming to stop discrimination while also supporting the efficiency of the armed forces and encouraging esprit de corps.
