About
Switchboard runs the LGBTQIA+ Helpline, a free UK support line open daily from 10am to 10pm by phone, instant messaging or email. It offers a safe space to talk about sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional wellbeing. Calls are answered by volunteers from the LGBTQIA+ community, who help people think through their options rather than telling them what to do. The service has supported millions of people over the past five decades and depends on donations to keep running.
