International Gay Rugby provides opportunities for LGBTQIA+ people to compete in rugby through tolerant and accepting clubs and teams. It supports community outreach, competitive play and tournament events that stand for tolerance and acceptance in sport.
The organisation works with rugby governing bodies and partner organisations worldwide to improve tolerance and acceptance of LGBTQIA+ athletes at all levels of the game. It hosts clubs across the world and marks National Coming Out Day as part of this work.
International Gay Rugby is committed to reducing barriers to entry for transgender athletes and says it aims to build further resources and support for transgender and non-binary players over time.
