Demonburgh Junior Roller Derby SCIO is a volunteer-run club in Edinburgh. It offers young people aged 7 to 17 the chance to learn and play roller derby, recreationally and competitively.
This inclusive, full-contact sport attracts neurodiverse youngsters, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those seeking a body-positive environment. The charity focuses on skill-building, confidence and community, with an emphasis on sportsmanship and fun.
The charity runs two classes every Friday during school terms. The Rookies class teaches fundamental skills and rules, while the Team class prepares players for competitive games.
Demonburgh also hosts games and bootcamps, and supports its players to compete in games across the UK and abroad.
