About
Working across York and the surrounding areas, this charity runs subgroups covering health and wellbeing, hate crime, bisexual issues, older people, education, young people and transgender matters. These subgroups run support groups and training sessions to help build equality within the community. The forum partners with other organisations to support and safeguard LGBTQIA+ people's lives, and hosts regular events such as LGBT Coffee Socials alongside resources like the What Does That Mean booklet. Through this work, it aims to eliminate discrimination, challenge negative attitudes, promote social inclusion, and reduce fear of crime and bullying.
