About

The Sussex Beacon promotes HIV and AIDS prevention and control through public education and research, and supports people living with these illnesses along with their families and friends. It runs a ten-bedroom inpatient unit offering respite, convalescent and terminal care, alongside a day care service. Its care is inclusive, with a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ communities, and it has been operating for over 30 years. It is now evolving to become the first dedicated LGBTQIA+ hospice with a specialism in HIV in the UK.
