RISE is an independent charity based in Brighton that helps people affected by domestic abuse. It provides services to women, children and young people, as well as LGBTQIA+ people experiencing domestic abuse.
Support includes advice, emotional and therapeutic help, and residential services for those who need to leave an abusive situation. RISE also delivers education and training to raise awareness and help prevent domestic abuse.
The charity states that LGBTQIA+ people can experience domestic abuse regardless of age, class, disability, gender identity, caring responsibility, immigration status, race or religion. People in LGBTQIA+ relationships experiencing abuse can contact RISE by email or helpline.
