Get to know this service
Pathways to Health is a community charity running a high quality, low-cost ear acupuncture service for people living in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area. It supports people affected by stress, anxiety and depression, drug and alcohol dependency, and mental health issues. It also supports people living with Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS, and those wishing to give up smoking.
The charity has run ear acupuncture clinics in Brighton and Hove since 1997, using a method drawn from traditional Chinese medicine. It says the service can promote relaxation and a sense of well-being, and can help manage cravings during withdrawal.
Central to its work is a volunteer programme, offering work experience and training to up to 18 people each year. Pathways to Health is an independent charity that receives no direct statutory funding, relying on individual donations to keep the service accessible.
