INTERCONNECTED UK (ICON UK) works to relieve the charitable needs of intersex people, their carers and their families. It hosts meetups and talks, giving people with intersex traits and their loved ones a space to connect and share experiences.
The organisation promotes the equality of intersex people, including making submissions to government bodies. It also promotes the human rights of intersex people, as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
It offers awareness raising to build understanding of the experiences and issues affecting people with intersex traits, alongside sector-specific consultancy on policy, inclusion and representation.
