Fife Pride began as a partnership between local organisations working to improve services, visibility and representation for LGBTQIA+ people across the Kingdom of Fife. It was formed to create a yearly celebration of equality, diversity and inclusion.
The organisation has hosted Pride events every year since founding, except in 2020 and 2021, when it moved online with virtual events instead. Its annual event is held in Kirkcaldy, bringing the community together to mark equality and pride across Fife.
In recent years, Fife Pride has expanded beyond its single annual event, with a stronger focus on year-round community engagement. Through its Fife Pride on Tour programme, it now runs smaller, locally based events across Fife, reaching communities that may not always attend the main celebration.
Fife Pride also looks for volunteers to help with various roles throughout the year and on the day of the event.
