About this event

Join Dan for a lovely mid-week leg stretcher on the border of mid-Wales and England. We will quickly leave the small town behind us by hopping into fields and farmland and steadily heading uphill through the hamlet of Old Church Stoke, skirting the edges of Roundton Hill Nature Reserve on our way up to our first summit, Lan Fawr (426m).Dropping down and through a small plantation we climb steeply again to the trig point at Corndon Hill (513m) and have some lunch on our highest summit of the day with great views over to Stiperstones, the Wrekin, Long Mynd, the Berwyns and even Eryri on a good day.Down into a shallow valley for a little shade and shelter then up again for another glorious view from the top of the severe slopes of Roundton (370m) before coming down and around the side of Todleth Hill and back to Churchstoke for a spot of cake at the cafe. This walk is roughly 12 km/7.5 miles, on footpaths, muddy fields and lots of stiles with a total ascent of 691m.Well-behaved OutdoorDogs are very welcome but please ensure they are adequately prepared for all conditions just as much as you are. Note: Leads will be required in areas with livestock, and we will be crossing awkward stiles frequently. Are you new to Outdoorlads and considering your first event? Have a look at this link, hopefully it will help.
