Something a bit different this time - get ready for a Thursday night of food, drinks, friends and a little bit of glamour 🌈🍺💋Join Outdoor Lads on Thursday 17 September at the Oakford Social Club in Reading for a relaxed and sociable evening with good food, drinks, plenty of chat and laughs, plus a fabulous drag cabaret from Bodacia (Reading based drag queen) to add a bit of sparkle to the evening. 👠✨A Bit About The Venue: The Oakford Social Club has become one of the most inclusive venues in Reading, and since the recent closure of the last remaining gay bar (the Blagrave) it now offers regular drag shows with 2 different acts on various evenings. The club has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with food and drink options and it's within spitting distance of the station. We will have a table booked from 7pm so there is a chance to eat, drink and socialise for the first hour and then at 8pm Bodacia will take to the stage with her cabaret show, providing some camp entertainment and a few laughs along the way. The show is free but they do raise money for Reading Pride through donations.Don't worry if drag is not your thing, give it a chance, I have spoken to Bodacia and she knows how to read the room and will not be picking on people in the audience and there is no obligation to participate in any of the games. The Oakford Social Club is a large space so you can also move away from the stage and chat by the bar if you wish at any point.
