About this event
Join Ben for a quiet and relaxed weekend on The Gower Peninsular.This early autumn weekend is the perfect chance to get some fresh sea air in peaceful countryside. OutdoorLads hostels are a great way to quickly meet new friends and find out about what we do. Attending your first hostel event could be a daunting experience if you don’t know what’s going to happen so why not have a read of our 'My First Hostel Event' guide.Kilvrough Manor is hidden away in its own wooded grounds in the South of the Gower making for a warm and comfortable retreat as Autumn sets in. With three rooms to socialise in along with a fire pit area there's plenty of space to play board games or chat away and make new friends aswell as catching up with old ones over the weekend. Please note that the hostel has a no nut policy.Friday evening:Arrive, settle in and meet with fellow ODLers. A simple evening meal (included in the event cost) will be provided followed by a welcome meeting. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy.Saturday:After breakfast (included in the event cost) we'll head out for a 10 mile walk taking in views of Pobble Bay. You will need a relatively good level of fitness for the walk. Please bring a packed lunch and maybe a flask of hot drink if it's cold.If you don't fancy coming on the walk, you can choose to stay in the hostel or explore nearby Oxwich Bay, Port Eynon or Rhossili.Saturday evening:Relax and socialise or help out preparing the 2 course evening meal (included in the event cost) which we'll all enjoy.SundayAfter breakfast we'll help clean and tidy away leaving the hostel as we found it. After that you can explore The Gower before heading home.Dogs: This event is not suitable for dogs.
