About this event

Join us for an evening of live classical music at All Saints Church Ecclesall, with the Sheffield Symphony Orchestra, featuring our very own Andy Ling on the viola. The programme takes us through some wonderfully atmospheric and dramatic orchestral music, beginning with Mussorgsky’s thrilling Night on a Bare Mountain. We’ll also hear the evocative Nights in the Gardens of Spain by Manuel de Falla and Ravel’s beautiful and reflective Pavane for a Dead Princess. The evening concludes with Shostakovich’s powerful and distinctive Symphony No. 6.Whether you’re a regular concert-goer or simply fancy trying something different, come along and enjoy the music in good company with other OutdoorLads members.Tickets can be purchased in advance from the SSO website or on the door. If you have signed up to attend this event, the event leader will let you know when tickets go on sale.We will go for a drink at a nearby pub after the concert.Image credits: Main Image -Tim Hooson  Image 1 Andy Ling; Image  2- Samual  Sianipar  (free to use under the unsplash license); Image 23 -Samuel Ramos (free to use under the unsplash license); Image 4 Mea Morrowhart (free to use under the unsplash license)
